Biografia
ARTIST-RAMON CABAN BRIZZIE
CABAN-BRIZZIE was born in San Juan city, capital of Puerto Rico, the first of January,1958. He studied Industrial Engineering in the University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez campus, and in the Polytechnic University of PR. He obtains a Bachelors degree in Art and Business Administration at the University of Florida, and also attends to many workshops given by various artists such as-Betsy Padín, Jackeline Del Valle, Lizzette Rosado, and Carlos Ortiz ‘Sueños’. The artist studied ceramic sculpture in the Escuela de Artes Plásticas of Puerto Rico for more than two years, under the guidance of the well known ceramic artist, Franklin Graulau.
Cabán-Brizzie starts his formal path through art in the year 1993, concentrating his work on acrylic painting, drawing, and ceramic sculpture. His art attempt to emphasize on the figure as the protagonist, and then complement the composition with an abstract background that will excite the senses, suggesting mood changes through color and texture.
